of Social Security by Congress

Pete, I understand that Rep. Jim McCrery (R-La.) has introduced a bill (H.R. 3304) that privatization proponents are trying to pass off as a new idea to stop the “raiding” of Social Security by Congress. It is hard to form an opinion these days as it is hard to get the facts. I have read the bill but it does not seem to layout the facts in a way that I can define. Can you shed some light on this for my friends and I. We work at the Mittal burns harbor plant and are real interested in this. I am trying to get a mailing off for support in shooting this down but would really like some clarification first. I am also the web master for local 6787 and would appreciate a letter from you that i could post on our web site. the addy is www.usw6787.org

                                                                  Sincerely, John F Moloney

This bill has the potential to change Social Security as we know it today. From all that I have read it is not a change for the better but that is something all of us have to decide for ourselves. Click here to read the bill http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/bdquery/z?d109:H.R.3304

Tell your members of Congress to oppose privatizing Social Security and not to be fooled by the McCrery bill. Click on the link below:

We all need to be involved in this in order to safeguard what is left of the promises that we have work for all these years. Please write to your representative and let him know you are interested in what he does and that you want him to do what is right for you and not the special interest.

Always remember

I don't know what the future
may hold, but I know who holds the future.
